What this policy covers
This policy describes the current Breaking News Android app, public channel profiles and nwz.co.in website. Breaking Studio is in development; its data practices must be reviewed and added before public release. It is not described here as an already released editing service.
Information we collect
- Accounts: full name, mobile number, channel name, city and a password hash. Older accounts may use an email address. Passwords are not stored as plain text.
- Channel profiles: biographies, logos, banners, website and social links that an owner chooses to submit.
- News: YouTube video IDs, headlines, descriptions, source or publisher names, optional source links, categories, publishing times and channel associations.
- Preferences: signed-in interests, channel follows and blocked channels. Guest follows, saved stories and publishing drafts may remain on the device.
- Applications: the name, contact details, location, role and optional information submitted when applying to join a channel. These are shared privately with the receiving channel owner.
- Support: contact details, account identifiers and messages submitted through support or deletion forms.
- Moderation: content reports, report reasons and messages, account warnings and restrictions. Signed-in reports can be linked to your account; public reports use a hashed identifier for duplicate and abuse prevention. Registration keys and submitted registration copies are private to the owner and authorized administrators.
- Operations: login sessions, verification decisions, manually managed subscription records and administrative audit records. Rate-limit identifiers are derived from the server-observed IP address. Hosting providers may keep technical access logs.
Why we use it
We use these details to provide accounts and profiles, publish news links, personalize the feed, synchronize account follows, review channels and team applications, respond to requests, and protect the service from abuse.
What is public and what is shared
Approved channel names, cities, biographies, branding, published stories and submitted public links can be viewed by anyone. Do not put private information in public fields. Join applications go to the selected channel owner, who can contact the applicant. Account passwords and private application records are not public directory fields. Hosting and infrastructure services process data needed to run the service.
YouTube and external services
Videos are hosted by YouTube. Loading a video or thumbnail, or opening an external website, can share technical information such as an IP address with that provider. YouTube playback is subject to Google's privacy policy and YouTube's terms. WhatsApp support opens WhatsApp only when selected; sending a message there is the user's action.

Storage and retention
We retain account, profile and publishing records while an account is active. A verified deletion request is completed within 30 days. Deletion removes the account, channel profile, stories, registration copy, profile media, sessions, follow and block records, saved-story records, preferences and related application records from the live service. Reports submitted by the deleted account are anonymized. Closed support and deletion-request details are removed after 90 days. Encrypted server backups are kept for up to 90 days before automatic rotation. Non-identifying security and administrative audit records are kept for up to 180 days to prevent abuse and maintain service security.
Your choices and deletion
You can edit channel details, choose interests, follow, block or unblock channels, and remove device-local saved stories. Request account and associated-data deletion here without reinstalling the app. We acknowledge requests within 7 days and complete verified requests within 30 days. Ownership is checked before deletion. Deleting an app from a device does not delete its server account or a video hosted on YouTube.
Security and contact
The service uses HTTPS, password hashing, access checks and upload restrictions. No system can guarantee absolute security. Contact the team through the support form for privacy questions or corrections. We update this page when practices change.
