ABOUT BREAKING
Big stories.
Local beginnings.
Breaking connects people with the channels reporting on their communities—and aims to give those channels better tools to tell their stories.
Two apps.
A shared purpose.
Breaking News is the public discovery and publishing app. Breaking Studio is a creator product in development. Together, the vision is to make local reporting easier to discover and easier to produce.
We focus on accessible profiles, clear channel identity, responsible sharing and simple connections between audiences and news owners.
WHAT VERIFICATION MEANSReviewed channel.
Reviewed channel.
Independent reporting.
A channel badge indicates a platform review. It is not government accreditation or a guarantee that every report is correct.
